" Ukrainian grime, breaks, and electro fusion "
TYSK are a Ukrainian electronic collective redefining the sound of the country’s underground. Formed by producer Alex Pervukhin (Lviv) and MC Anton Nazarko (Kharkiv), the project blends breakbeat, grime, electro, and hip-hop, capturing both the intensity and resilience of modern Ukraine. Their new single “Seek”, out in September 2025, strikes as a sharp, kinetic anthem -melding pulsing bass, fractured rhythms, and incisive vocal delivery. TYSK is far more than a duo; it’s a network of musicians and visual artists united by a shared drive to reimagine British underground influences through Ukrainian context. Their sound combines raw bass energy with incisive lyricism, exploring themes of war, memory, and transformation. Each track feels like a sonic document of survival and forward motion.
Their debut album, released in two parts – BEFORE and AFTER (2023) – marked a turning point for the local scene, bridging regional subcultures and generations. In 2023, TYSK created TYSK.Experience – an audiovisual show performed across Europe and Ukraine during the blackouts of winter, turning darkness into light and sound. The same year, they founded the Centre for New Culture “Some People” in Kharkiv, a creative stronghold just 40 km from the frontline. Their 7-track Reworks EP came out in 2024 as a bold reinvention of their gritty, bass-driven palette through fresh remixes and alternate versions.
Their powerful performances have lit up Closer, Night Ambassadors, HVLV, and Brave! Factory Festival. Touring alongside English dubstep pioneer Plastician, they’ve further cemented their reputation across borders. In Ukrainian, TYSK means “pressure” – a fitting name for a project that channels tension into art, rhythm, and collective strength. Driven by fast, percussive grooves, jagged breakbeats, and electro energy that morphs without warning, their style unfolds like controlled chaos – unpredictable, high-voltage, and physically intense.
