Each month, Europavox selects ten bands from ten different countries and highlight them on our website. The winner is selected by the seven partners of the Europavox project, and as part of this, they get a chance to play at one or more Europavox festivals, and to be featured on Europavox.com and our socials taking part in a video interview. Starting April 2023, the Bands of the Month receive a Spotlight Prize, 4000 euros to help them develop their project on a European scale !
The prize awarded can be used towards residencies, recording (video, music), producing promo materials (press relations, content strategy), participating in events in targeted territories, tours… Anything that contributes to the following priorities:
- To promote the transnational circulation of cultural and creative works and artists
- To contribute to audience development with a particular focus on youth.
So far, JFDR, Baby Volcano, Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys, Melenas, Kamaniu Silelis, UTO, Club Makumba, Martha Da’ro and SPRINTS have been selected to receive the Spotlight Prize. Congratulations !
