What a cast! When one of the greatest British rock bands of its generation joins forces with the New York dance-punk scene’s heroes, the result is predictably epic: ‘Dancer’ does not disappoint. The first single from Idles’ fifth album (‘Tangk’, expected on February 16 via Partisan Records) invites James Murphy and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem on as backing vocalists, adding lightness to this otherwise very tense track. Dance moves are, naturally, at the forefront of this music video, directed by Jocelyn Anquetil, who previously worked with Ezra Williams, King Krule, Sudan Archives, and Goat Girl. An invitation to ‘dance yrself clean’ until February 16!
